Boohoo blames strong comparatives and long lead times for sales slump
Boohoo sales for the four months to Dec 31 were down 11% to £637.7m with UK revenues down 11% to £400.8m, while international sales declined 10% year on year.
Dunelm upgrades profit outlook as sales skyrocket
Dunelm sales for the quarter ending Jan were up 18% to £478m - up 48% on pre-pandemic levels – were driven in part by strong demand for online, with 35% of total sales made digitally.
Hotel Chocolat enjoys late festive surge in sales
Hotel Chocolat store sales in the nine weeks ending 25 Dec were up 10% on 2021 and set a new record for Christmas, however, group sales fell 5% as international sales and online were down.
Dr Martens issues profit warning amid US distribution centre issues
Dr Martens has warned on annual profit and revenue due to bottlenecks at its LA distribution centre, it now expects full-year revenue growth of 11-13% and EBITDA to be between £250-260m.

How to get your brand on the January Editorial Calendars
January is all about fitness and health and getting back on track after a Christmas and New Year Holidays break, plus it’s about starting to prepare for outfits and gifts for Valentine’s Day next month. But also, we’re looking forward to next season so make sure anything SS23 is flagged on your drops. Plus, as we’re mid-winter there will still be searches for anything cosy, so pyjamas, slippers, coats, hygge, winter warmers, knitwear, scarves and everything warm.

January is also Veganuary and Dry January so it’s a good idea to make sure you have vegan-friendly products and non-alcoholic products labelled on your media centre, plus anything that’s healthy that fits in with resetting your life.
